Irene C. Wolniewicz, 97, of Toledo, Ohio, died on Friday, February 14, 2020 in her home. Born April 6, 1922, in Toledo, Ohio, she was the daughter of Leo John and Marie (Koperski) Posadny.
She met and married the love of her life, Stephen J. on May 24, 1941 .He preceded her in death on July 24, 1999. Irene enjoyed baking, traveling, playing bingo, and gardening, and loving her children and grandchildren. Memberships included St. Hyacinth Catholic Church and the Gesu 50 plus club.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, daughter-in-law, Barbara, and grandson Ryan Wolniewicz.
Surviving are her loving son, Dale (Joanne) and Ken (Sally Gopp) Wolniewicz; grandson, Mark (Cassandra) Wolniewicz; great-grandchildren, Brynnlee and Levi.
Visitation at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Road (at Jackman Rd.)Temperance, Michigan 48182, 4:00 – 8:00 PM Sunday February 16, 2020, where services will be held on Monday, February 17 at 10:00 AM.
